Uterine Programme
Learn to assess the endometrium using IETA and MUSA terminology, evaluate vascularity, and assess intracavity lesions.
What's in the Uterine programme?
The IETA Programme provides structured, on-demand training to standardize ultrasound assessment of the endometrium.
It teaches consistent use of IETA terminology for describing endometrial thickness, vascularity, and focal lesions, and integrates sonohysterography and cancer risk assessment methods.
The course prepares participants for the IETA/MUSA Certification in Uterine Ultrasound.

Programme Modules
Module 1 – Describing the Endometrium Using IETA Terminology
Prof Thierry Van den Bosch explains how to describe and measure the endometrium according to IETA standards. Includes examples on thickness, echogenicity, and contour assessment.
Module 2 – Describing Vascularity of the Endometrium Using Colour Doppler
Prof Van den Bosch, Dr Yvette S. Groszmann, and Dr Christine De Bruyn illustrate how to evaluate vascular patterns and identify focal lesions with colour Doppler.
Module 3 – Use of Sonohysterography to Aid the Diagnosis of Intracavity Lesions
Dr Christine De Bruyn and Dr Ohad Rotenberg demonstrate how fluid instillation sonography helps detect and characterize intracavity pathology such as polyps or submucous fibroids.
Module 4 – Describing Intracavity Lesions Using IETA Terminology
Dr Christine De Bruyn and Dr Ruben Heremans show how to measure and describe intracavity lesions using standardized IETA terminology to ensure consistent reporting.
Module 5 – Ultrasonographic Evaluation of Endometrial Cancer
Prof Thierry Van den Bosch, Dr Juan Luis Alcazar, Dr Jen Barcroft, and Dr George Lockett discuss ultrasound features suspicious for malignancy and explore emerging radiomics applications.
Module 6 – Using the IETA Model
Dr George Lockett introduces the IETA risk model and its integration into clinical workflow. Includes a practice test and the official multiple-choice certification assessment.

Uterine Membership Programme
IETA Certificate
The IETA (International Endometrial Tumor Analysis) certification demonstrates proficiency in endometrial assessment using ultrasound. This certification is part of the Uterine Membership Programme and provides access to specialized tools for endometrial evaluation (IETA model, coming soon).
