Your questions, answered
What is the difference between individual and institutional membership?
Individual memberships are purchased online for one professional. Institutional memberships cover departments, hospitals, or alliances through a contract and invoice. Institutions can manage multiple users under one account with shared billing, training coordination, and reporting.
How do membership and certification differ, and how long are they valid?
Membership is a 1-year subscription that gives access to the LMS, webinars, QA, apps, tools, continuous learning, and other benefits. Certification confirms you passed the exam and is also valid for 1 year. Membership and certification are separate. If membership expires, you lose access to tools and benefits even if still certified. If certification expires, your apps revert to training-only mode until you recertify, but you keep all member benefits.
How do I recertify?
Certification renewal is yearly. It can be done by retaking the online exam, performing ultrasound image QA submissions, attending webinars, making case database contributions, ... but you must pass the exam every 2 years.
Are CME or CPD points awarded?
At this time, the Training & Certification Programmes are not formally CPD-accredited. However, many participants include it in their self-directed learning hours for appraisal purposes, as it reflects verifiable professional development in gynecological ultrasound.
What payment options are available?
Individuals can pay online through Stripe using credit or debit cards. Institutions can request invoicing and pay by bank transfer once a contract is in place.
Do you offer discounts or trainee rates?
Yes. Members from emerging-country lists qualify for reduced rates. A trainee/resident rate is being developed; contact support@gynaia.com to be notified.
Can institutions include multiple professionals?
Yes. Hospital, departmental, and regional memberships can cover several clinicians under one institutional agreement with unified billing and access control.
Do I need to be certified before using the ADNEX/IETA/M6... app?
All members can access the ADNEX model for training purposes. Only certified members (i.e. having passed the exam) may use the models for diagnostic purposes.
Can I access the training materials after my membership ends?
No. The LMS, case database, learning materials, webinar recordings, and all tools and benefits require an active membership. Access is valid for 1 year.
How long does the certification program take?
About seven hours of self-paced study plus a 30-minute online exam. You have one year of access to the LMS to complete it.
How do I get added to an institutional account?
If your hospital or department already has a contract, but you don't know your administrator, contact support@gynaia.com .
Can I pause or defer my membership?
No. Memberships are named, run for one year and cannot be paused. Renewal can be done anytime before expiration to maintain continuity.
Who accredits the ovarian, uterine, early pregnancy care... certification programmes?
They are accredited by the IOTA Consortium. Gynaia manages and delivers the training and certification process on behalf of the Consortium.
How is support handled? And do you speak my language?
Members receive regular updates through the newsletter and the member portal. Support is available in multiple languages at support@gynaia.com.
